Email Notification and Loss of Domain Name

   Well, it's great to be back with visitors, old and new. A long time ' down around the bend and up the road.' And it is costing us all a lot more now too!

   By the way, apparently I had began this with a couple sentences in draft form quite a long while ago so, pay no attention towards the date.

Sorry to be so off topic for the moment, but recently there has been a situation not only with identity theft, but also one specifically dealing with passwords. Now, resetting a Security Code can be a much iffier proposition.

  { Take Outlook Express for example. I've been thru the personal strife of resetting and using a phone number and then not being allowed access to my email account! Anyone else having this experience too? With other issues as well? This blog was, (that will be explained next) directly connected from my domain to THAT very email service!  On top of this, I had reluctantly and stupidly exported those contacts of quite a few years to other accounts. I simply desired to keep those separate. What a pickle, eh? I absolutely apologize ahead of time for any lack of response and will try to rectify this in the near future. }

  Not to long ago there was a bigger issue. Talking with the online adviser for Name Cheap during the 'grace period' when renewing my blog - it came to that, being distracted when in the middle of considering my retirement and a change in credit card. I was informed the autorenewal function was all set as the green check mark box proved. I left it at  that for a month and a half, then what a mess! 'Fayette/Westmoreland Forgotten History' was not available as the domain company I trusted for 8 years, made ridiculous counter claims to what clearly took place and later told me they had it off. I stayed on them until they finally admitted, that, yes, it was their fault, not my own.

An altogether unpleasant experience.

  So...an old acquaintance, James at Computer Repair in Scottdale, advised me to sue the company and get the name 'Histbuffer' back. I haven't bothered with the lawyer thing as, honestly,  with high blood pressure, water pills, migraines, and assorted health probs, some of which somehow or other have been cleared up - I simply cannot handle too much stress at this time. Long story shortened a bit,  it was easier to go back to Google 'blogspot' for now!

  The silver lining? Well,  having to fill out a complicated form to stop 'RSSing' my site sure wasn't it! No sir. My SEO is now out of whack, also. Not even sure how to build it back yet.

UPDATE:

Since starting to write this post, although a very frustrating situation, I seem to be partly getting it BACK UNDER CONTROL.

     OK, if for ANY REASON you experience a need to contact me, please follow these instructions:

      FIRST - leave a message on the Comment Section of the blog. That might be best.

     SECOND - If it is more important, write me at: silver19gogetter@gmail.com. (You can just copy and paste it).

     THIRD - If it is somewhere in between, please leave me a message on Facebook. The address (as should be known) is shown below:

 www.facebook.com/wilson.alan.77. If necessary, you should be able to copy and paste that as well with no trouble. And while you are at it, you can choose to follow me on Facebook and something good will come out of this bit of a morass.

     ALRIGHT, folks? Please do let me know if there is any trouble locating the blog. It is, of course, a real concern of mine.

  While you can still contact me, "Histbuffer", at the secondary email and Facebook addresses above, again:

  Thanks for all your cooperation, folks. I hope the last meaningful post I created on the old Ore Mine School Reunion helped bring some interest.

Next post around, which certainly should be soon, regional history is once again going to be the order of the day. By the way, I am getting other things in my life taken care of and for nearly half a year, am thoroughly enjoying and appreciating my retirement. My appreciation to those who have inquired.
